What is the Difference Between Plastic Hydraulic Forming and Plastic Thermoforming?

Plastic hydraulic forming and plastic thermoforming are two different processes used to shape plastic materials.  The main difference between them is the method used to apply pressure to the plastic.

In plastic hydraulic forming, a hydraulic press is used to apply pressure to the plastic material, which is placed in a mold.  The pressure is applied evenly across the entire surface of the material, which allows for more precise shaping and greater control over the final product.

In plastic thermoforming, heat is used to soften the plastic material, which is then formed into the desired shape using a mold.  The pressure applied to the material is typically less than in hydraulic forming, which can result in a less precise final product.

Overall, both processes have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice between them will depend on the specific needs of the project.
